My husband and I want to do a multi city trip without worry about the transportation/long wait times. Having a hard time planning it all.

Preferred date of traveling: Jun 20-Jun 26
Travel days: 7
How many of you? Two of us
Personal interests: Local guides & sightseeing, History, Hiking
Areas of Italy you would love to visit: Rome, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, The Alps, Lake Como / Northern Lakes,
Preferred method of transportation: Private car with a driver, High-Speed train, Ferries

We arrive June 20th in Rome airport. Hoping to do some of Rome including the St Sebastian Catacombs. Then Day in Florence to see Duomo and Michelangelo. A Day in Venice to see sights and a Gondola ride. Then a Day in Lake Como to see the beauty and take a Ferry. If time to see Milan to see Last Supper, great. But no big deal if not. Then a Day in Cinque Terre. On June 26, end in Pisa where we have a wedding to attend in the afternoon in one of the towns near-by.

Hi there! Tight schedule, however feasible. For a multi city trip such as this one, an “organized and efficient” combination of high-speed trains and private cars with drivers are the way to go to be successful.

Here is my idea:

Day 1 – Arrive in Rome – Transfer to hotel. Leave luggage. Tour the Catacombs of San Sebastiano with our guide and driver. Return to hotel. Check in. Relax.

Day 2 – Check out, leave luggage at hotel. Tour of Vatican or Coliseum with our driver and private guide. At the end of the tour (about 3 hours) our driver will drive you to the hotel to pick up your luggage. Transfer to the train station. Take one of the many afternoon high-speed trains to Florence Santa Maria Novella. At arrival (about 1.5 hours), walk to your hotel, check in. Meet our guide at the lobby and take a sightseeing walking tour of Florence. Our guide will be happy to suggest you a nice local restaurant for the evening and end the tour right in front of it. After dinner, make your way back to the hotel.

Day 3 – Morning high-speed train to Venice Santa Lucia (2 hours). At arrival walk to your hotel. Take a sightseeing walking tour with our guide, about 3 hours. The guide picks you up at your hotel and leaves you at the Gondola stop, right on time for your romantic evening gondola ride. Return to hotel on your own

Day 4 – After checking out, take a morning high-speed train to Milan (2.5 hours). At arrival, our driver and private guide meets you at the station. Take a sightseeing tour of Milan, including Duomo, La Scala and Leonardo’s Last Supper. After the tour, the driver will drive you to Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Como. Check in. Spend 2 nights here

Day 5 – Enjoy the most relaxing day on this enchanting lake. Yes! You have a day at your own leisure! I suggest to take the local ferry and, with calm, visit Varenna or Menaggio. If you want.

Day 6 – Check out, meet our driver at the lobby and transfer to Cinque Terre, hotel check in, 1 night. Spend the rest of the day browsing a couple of this enchanting villages on the sea cliff. In our final itinerary, you will find suggestions on what to do and see in the time you have to enjoy at best!

Day 7 – Take the morning train to Pisa. Tour the city at your own leisure. Afternoon transfer to the wedding location.

If you have high expectations and a tight schedule, a well organized multi city trip can be a solution to your travel needs.
