Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN FLORENCE

Transfer - Private transfer from Florence airport to your hotel.

Driver will wait for you at the arrival flight hall with a signboard with your name on it. They will drive you to the entrance of the hotel. In case of any delay, please contact your driver. Their number can be found on the voucher.

Hotel - Florence Historic Centre, Classic Room, including breakfast buffet and wifi

Set in a 13th-century former convent, this delightful hotel is a few minutes walk from the Train station, Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, Florence Cathedral and Ponte Vecchio. The elegant rooms are furnished with antiques and come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars. Some have wood beamed ceilings and/or marble or hardwood floors. Room service is available. A rich breakfast is served in the warm dining room with patio seating.

Day 2 - FLORENCE

After breakfast meet your guide at the hotel. Walking tour: 2 hours in Florence artistic and historical district + 1 hour inside the Academy museums (Entrance tickets not included)

Day 3 - FROM FLORENCE TO THE TUSCANY COUNTRYSIDE

Transfer - Check out and take your private transfer from the hotel to the airport.

Car Rental - Pick up your rental car at the arrival terminal of the airport.

After only a few minutes of driving, you will be out of the city to fully immerse in the spectacular Tuscan countryside

Activity (optional) - On the way there, I suggest a visit to a local olive oil producer: FRANTOIO PRUNETI located in San Polo in Chianti, via Oliveto -- www.pruneti.it - 055 855 5091 - Call in advance. You will learn about production, health benefits and kitchen use. Taste the different varieties. You will also have the opportunity to buy oil at their exclusive boutique.

The Pruneti family's extra virgin olive oil 4th-generation business is located in the heart of Chianti Classico. They also produce some saffron and iris bulbs. Their passion led to achieve important international awards during the years. Today at Frantoio Pruneti you can visit the Olive Oil Tasting Room, a place exclusively designed for extra virgin olive oil, where you can find every answer that you are looking for.

Hotel - Standard Room with breakfast and WIFI.

Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, this elegant hotel is strategically located in the heart of Chianti Classico. The rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars. The rustic-chic restaurant and patio serves Tuscan traditional dishes. There's also an outdoor pool with a poolside bar.

Afternoon and evening at your leisure. This is the time to relax at the hotel, enjoy the pool, ride a bicycle (free at the hotel) or walk to the two villages nearby

Day 4 - THE BEST CHIANTI CLASSICO

After breakfast hop on the car to drive towards Castello di Vicchiomaggio.

On the way there, I suggest to pass by the villages of Panzano and Greve in Chianti in the heart of Chianti Classico. Visit their shops, butchers, leather boutique, wine bars, or simply sit on the piazza and watch locals talking with animosity!

Always keep an eye at your watch... remember that you have an appointment at Castello di Vicchiomaggio at 11:30 for a gourmet lunch! Roads here are nicely paved, but narrow and with lots of curves and can be slow at times

Excursion - Castello di Vicchiomaggio, Winery Tour.

Guided tour of the vineyards, the historical cellars, the Castle’s Italian Gardens and the “Panoramic Mona Lisa Terrace”.

Lunch will be served in one of the castle’s Renaissances dining rooms. Enjoy a tasting of “the four classics”: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione & “golden nectar limited edition Extra Virgin Olive Oil” with special Tuscan “casalingo” bread, paired with:
Pappardelle (pasta) with wild boar sauce,
"Stufato contadino” (beef marinated in herbs and pot stewed) with a seasonal vegetable,
Selection of local Pecorino (sheep) cheese in various styles.

After lunch the rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 5 - COOKING DAY

Meet Vilma at 10.30 at her house for a pasta class. Driving time : 15 minutes (See voucher for address)

Activity - Pasta Class with Vilma (Hands-on 3 hours)

Vilma works and lives in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, near Firenze where she owns a homemade pasta shop. Her passion for Tuscan cuisine is in her eyes, you will notice it right away!

Lunch - at the cooking class

Rest of day at leisure. Suggested visits to San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and/or Voterra

Day 6 - FROM THE CHIANTI CLASSICO TO THE SOUTH OF TUSCANY

After breakfast check out and drive to the south of Tuscany

Suggested stop: The weekly market in the village of Poggibonsi, a commercial town (non touristic!) located near the highway Florence-Siena

Drive to Siena to meet your guide for private tour of the town. Suggested parking for your car : at the soccer stadium parking lots near Basilica di San Domenico

Acitvity - Private Tour (2-hour walking tour of Siena with a local expert guide)

Stefano is our local expert guide who takes us through ancient palaces and narrow medieval streets to understand the myths and facts of the famous "Contrade" and the "Palio" in this magical town.

Continue driving south to reach Montepulciano and your hotel

Hotel - Double room with balcony

Il Marzocco is the oldest hotel of Montepulciano built in 1500 as a farm of the nearby convent. In 1860 it became a hotel and since the early 1900s it has been run by the same family. The hotel looks like a large house where the atmosphere of the old times is still kept. It's situated in the centre of Montepulciano, inside the medievals town walls, in a historical building. Day 7 - MONTEPULCIANO AND SURROUNDING

The "agriturismo" Bagnolo is a family business which has been always respecting the highest standards of organic production. More than 800 sheep graze the meadows all over the property, producing fresh, healthy milk used to make the famous Pecorino di Pienza DOP and other dairy products (curd, "raviggiolo" cheese, etc.). They also raise "cinta senese" pigs, famous for their black and white mantle and even more famous for the wonderful taste of relative products such as hams, salami, capocollo etc. Courtyard animals such as hens, ducks and guine fowls are barn raised like in past years. You'll rediscover being in contact with nature, the forgotten taste of fresh products and the smell and the colors of an uncontaminated landscape.

Day 8 - FLORENCE AIRPORT

Check out and departure to the airport. Driving time approx. 2 hours. Drop off the car
